Trouble Funk single free with Record Mirror in 19886 minutes of top DC sound, a GoGo beauty. Good quality recording. This one puzzled me for a while as it's generally all Trouble Funk with some Coldcut samples turntablised over the top. I uncovered it on this Maxell tape and wondered what station it was sourced from. Then I realised the Doctorin' the House samples were scratched in by... me. So on this mp3 you get to hear the very pinnacle of my 1980s turntable skills. The good bits were someone else scratching.

ADDITIONAL: Robin gets in touch with this crucial info:

"The Trouble Funk mix sounded familiar so I'm just back from rooting around in the spare room.  It's from a 7" (33 RPM) that came free with Record Mirror (1988) and it's called Troublefunk "Richie Rich In Trouble". The B-side is "My Boyfriend's Private Party" featuring Wally Jump Junior and The Criminal Element's "Lighten Up", Arthur Baker's "Private Party", LA Mix's "Don't Stop (Bonus Beats)" and Shanice Wilson "I'll Bet She's Got A Boyfriend"

Top spotting, Robin - I'd forgotten all that, and yeah, I still got the single, buried deep in the crate under 20 year's worth of mobile disco debris... *attacks it with garden shears* ...yes, here it is, the label credits DJ Richie Rich and mix engineer Peter 'Dyna-mix' Smith, and of course Troublefunk themselves: T Reed, B Collins, R Reed, J avery, T Fisher, K Blow, M Lane.
